When are Final Exams given for 15-week courses?
Final Exams are to take place during the last week of the 15-week term on the last day of class. For classes that meet twice in the last week, exams may be divided into two parts and conducted on the last two days of class.
What if there are more than three or more exams occurring on the same day?
Students can request to take a final exam on another day from an instructor if they have more than three final exams scheduled on the same day OR can provide their official course schedule in support of their request to the Department Chair and/or Associate Dean.
Are there office hours during week 15 of the term? Faculty are not expected to hold office hours during the last week of the term
When are the Final Exams given for 7-week courses?
7-week courses are designed as such that any/all exams must occur over the 7-week session.
Can the Test Center assist with proctoring exams?
The Test Center can handle makeup exams (for all types of classes) for up to 12 students per section and accommodated testing (no limit). If you need support beyond 12 students per section, you can reach out to the Associate Director or Director of Testing.
Does the Test Center offer extended hours during the last week of the term?
The Test Center has extended hours during the last week of the term. For the most up-to-date hours of operation, please visit the Test Center website (www.howardcc.edu/testcenter) and make sure to read messages from the Test Center Communications mailbox.
How do I submit exams to the Test Center?
The Test Center can receive exam information digitally (emailed to testcenter@howardcc.edu) for online exams. Paper-based exams can be delivered in-person or via division office staff. Please check the faculty resource page for detailed instructions (/faculty-testing_info).
When are final grades due?
Final grades are due to the registrar within 48 hours after the last class session.
